Yagan Square, Perth WA

Yagan Square has been developed to be one of the Perth’s most popular community hubs. Located in the heart of Perth’s CBD, Yagan Square provides a pedestrian connection between the CBD and Northbridge at Willian Street as well as links to the Perth train station and the new underground bus port.

Guardian Tactile was contracted by Doric Group construction to supply and install over 90m² of discrete 316 marine-grade stainless steel tactile indicators.

Ground surface warning tactiles were installed at the top and bottom of stair ways, as per Design for Access and Mobility standards. This is to warn the vision impaired of the stair danger. Ground surface directional tactiles were installed from the train station entry points to nearby stair ways and pedestrian routes.
