Australian Codes and Standards
To fully comply with current codes and standards, all *public access stairs must
- be fitted with stair nosings that have a fully non slip horizontal surface;
- have 90 degree stair nosings measuring a minimum of 50mm wide by 25mm deep; and
- have stair nosings with a luminance contrast of at least 30 percent against the surface they are fixed to
Guardian stair nosings meet or exceed these requirements and when fitted will ensure the building owner fully meets the duty of care obligations to the public as outlined in these Codes and Standards
Statutory CSIRO Approvals
Guardian have complied with the test criteria requirements of the CSIRO and Australian standards in conjunction with:

Compliance with New Public Access Standards
Guardian non slip stair nosing will ensure owners provide an accessible accessway* to and within their buildings in compliance with the requirements of the Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards
* a continuous path of travel, having features to permit use by people with disabilities as defined in AS 1428.4.1.2009
